Jeanine Mitchell, M.S. CCC-SLP
Jeanine is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She has more than 20 years’ experience in early intervention, preschool and school age settings in diagnostic evaluation, therapy planning and implementation, and augmentative/alternative communication for the remediation of a wide range of feeding and swallowing, communication disorders and disabilities.  She has worked at extensively at BOCES (EI), and also at Kids-R-Special preschool, Baldwinsville School District, Syracuse City School District and at Syracuse University where she works as a supervisor of graduate students in SLP. She has ASHA certification as a CCC-SLP. Jeanine lives with her family in Baldwinsville.
 
 
Mary Lehan, M.S. CCC-SLP
Mary is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from SUNY - Geneseo. She has more than 10 years’ experience in EI, preschool and school age settings in diagnostic evaluation, therapy planning and implementation working with children with a wide range of diagnosis.  In addition to Sprout, Mary also works for OCM BOCES in a 2-3 year-old 12-1-4 classroom. Mary has worked directly for Oswego County Health Department as an independent contractor, providing SLP services in the home setting. At the same time, she also worked for Oswego County BOCES, providing service in the home as well as in the classroom. Mary is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and has extensive continuing education training.
 
 
Meghan Francis, M.S. CCC-SLP
Meghan joins the staff of Sprout Therapy Group with a diverse background in Speech and Language Patholoy. Meghan has worked with pre-schoolers and school age children in the North Syracuse School District for 14 years. Meghan also has extensive preschool and early intervention experience as an itinerant provider and evaluator for Onondaga County.  Her experience covers a wide-range of multiply handicapped children. Meghan’s undergraduate degree is from Russell Sage College where she received dual certification in elementary education and special education. Her M.S. in SLP is from Syracuse University. Megan is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
 

Brittany Kirchner
Brittany recently earned a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University and has clinical experience with children of all ages. While completing her degree, Brittany managed a full caseload of pre-school SCSD students at Parkside Children’s Center. She has provided intervention to children with autism, verbal apraxia, Downs’ syndrome, articulation, language and stuttering disorders, nonverbal communicators. She has extensive work with the latest communication technologies including ipad applications. While completing her CFY she will be under the direction on Sprout’s Director of Speech and Language, Jeanine Mitchell. 

Dana Levitt, M.S., CCC-SLP

Dana Levitt is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She has several years’ experience in the Early Intervention and Preschool settings. Dana completed her clinical fellowship year in early intervention and preschool under the direction of Sprout’s Corene Prior while the two were at Connections. While there, Dana worked the full range of children, including feeding, autism, phonological, voice and expressive/receptive language challenges.  Dana holds an adjunct professor position in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Syracuse University. She is also on the staff at the Gebbie Clinic where she also worked as a clinician throughout graduate school. Also, she did an internship at Exploring Your Word Preschool in Syracuse. Most recently, Dana provided SLP services at Loretto in Syracuse where she managed a full caseload in the Short-term Rehab, Long-term Care and Secure Memory units, working with adults in a wide range of diagnosis. Dana holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University with a Psychology major. She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP), has her permanent NYS Teaching Certificate. 

 

 

Jenna Hojnowski

Jenna McGrath is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She received her degree in 2012 and has school-based experience with the Syracuse City School District. She has worked with children with a wide variety of diagnosis including autism, traumatic brain injury, ataxia, and apraxia of speech.

Additionally, Jenna also has extensive clinical experience at Bright Beginnings Early Education Center in Watertown and at the Gebbie Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic in Syracuse.  She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and has extensive clinical training in a variety of settings.  She lives in Camillus.

 

Lauren Esparza, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

Lauren Esparza is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from the University of West Georgia. Lauren has more than 7 years of experience working in pediatrics, primarily in preschool and early intervention settings. She is bi-lingual in Spanish and is BLS certified.  In addition to her master’s degree, Lauren also holds ATRIC certification which is the training necessary to deliver aquatic-based speech therapy. She also has extensive training in feeding therapy, having completed extensive training in the discipline.  Additionally, she is nearing completion of certification for teaching yoga to children. At her last position in Washington, Lauren taught yoga classes for children with special needs.  Lauren has many years of supervisory experience, overseeing other SLPs and clinical practicums for graduate students. She has worked with a wide variety of diagnosis including articulation, phonological and neurological delays, feeding, fluency, TBI and autism spectrum disorders. Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree from Toccoa Falls College in Georgia with a Music Performance major. She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and holds state licensure in New York, Washington, Texas and Georgia.

 
 

Desiree Salucci, M.S., CCC-SLP

Desiree Salucci is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She received her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Audiology 2008. She has more than 9  years’ experience at BOCES in a wide range of settings. Most recently, Desiree has provided SLP services in BOCES’ SKATE Program in Camillus where she worked with a population of students on the autism spectrum. Prior to the SKATE assignment, she worked with in the SED program with Socially-Emotionally Disturbed children for 3 years. Also at BOCES, Desiree spent 3 years at the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program in Solvay where she worked with a wide range of children on all aspects of functioning with hearing loss. During this time she also worked with children with severe and multiple disabilities including CP, autism, Down Syndrome, and medically fragile students. Desiree also spent time at Children’s Village in East Syracuse administering speech and language services to children aged 1-4 years.  She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP), has her permanent NYS Teaching Certificate and lives in Onondaga Hill with her family.

 

Dianne M. McArdell M.S., CCC-SLP

Diane McArdell is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Nazareth College. She received her degree in 1992 and has more than 20 years’ experience in a wide range of settings including early intervention, preschool and school-based experience. In addition to Sprout, Dianne also works currently in the Marcellus Central School District where her caseload consists of children with speech language impaired, learning disabled, autistic and various other levels of cognitive disabilities. For 10 years, Dianne worked at Interactive Therapy Group/Liberty Post, providing therapy services to early intervention and preschool age children. She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and lives in Cicero with her family.

Laura Pallo

Laura Pallo joins Sprout Therapy Group having earned a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Ithaca College. While completing her degree, Laura worked in the Ithaca School district with children in grades K – 2 with a wide range of speech-related needs including apraxia, articulation and receptive/expressive language delays. Additionally, Laura worked at the Ewing Clinic at Ithaca College where she gained experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with children and adults. She also worked on vocal and articulation therapies while at the clinic. Her final clinical assignment was at Upstate University Hospital where she worked with feeding and swallowing issues, aphasia, dysphasia and apraxia patients.

Jessica Murphy

Jessica Murphy joins Sprout Therapy Group earned a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Niagara College in Rochester. While completing her degree, Jessica worked Bright Start Pediatrics with children birth to five years old with a wide range of speech-related needs including autism, verbal apraxia, Downs’ syndrome and other developmental delays. Additionally, Jessica worked for the Churchville-Chili Central School District in a classroom setting with children with a variety of SLP challenges. As part of her graduate school clinical, she also worked with adults at the Nazareth College Brain Injury Clinic. She also served as a teaching assistant. While an undergraduate at SUNY – Cortland, Jessica was an officer in the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

 

Danielle O'Conner - M.S.

Danielle O'Connor joins Sprout Therapy Group having earned a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She and has clinical experience with children of all ages. While completing her degree, Danielle managed a full caseload of pre-school students at Main Street Early Education Program in North Syracuse. She has provided intervention to children with autism, verbal apraxia, Downs’ syndrome, TBI, language and stuttering disorders, and CP. She has experience with the latest communication technologies including ipad applications.

Sue Thomas

Sue Palleschi is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She received her degree in 2007 and has extensive early intervention, preschool and school-based experience. She has 4 years of EI experience with Madison County DoH and 6 years of preschool work with Madison Oneida BOCES.  She has worked with children with a wide variety of diagnosis including autism, speech impaired, language impaired, traumatic brain injury, emotionally disturbed, ataxia, and apraxia of speech. Additionally, Sue also works in the Syracuse City School District. She did her externship work at the Gebbe Clinic and at the BOCES Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Solvay.  She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)  and lives in Chittenango.
