Elizabeth Myers, MS-OT
Liz brings more than a decade of pediatric Occupational Therapy experience to Sprout Therapy Group working in early intervention, preschool and elementary school settings. Liz has extensive experience in evaluations as well as treatment in both individual and group settings. She is the lead therapist for Sprout’s OT-based sensory needs Parent-Child Group conducted weekly at My Gym Children’s Fitness Center. Liz began her career with the Liverpool School District and also worked at Children’s Therapy Network for 9 years. Liz earned both her undergraduate and Master’s Degrees from Gannon University. in Erie, PA, In addition to her work at Sprout, Liz also works in the West Genesee School District. 
 

 

 

Courtney Zempel

Courtney Zempel is a New York State licensed Occupational Therapist a Master’s Degree from SUNY – Buffalo with a concentration in Pediatrics She received her degree in 2012 and was a member and an officer in the Occupational Therapy Honor Society. Before joining Sprout, she spent 3 years at University Hospital in Syracuse where she provided occupational therapy services in the oncology and psychiatric units. Within these settings, she regularly worked with children of all ages, including those birth to five. Additionally, Courtney was a private OT provider for two siblings with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her Level II fieldwork took place at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse and at CP Rochester where she work with extensively with children ages birth to 18 as well as adults. Courtney has state and national membership in AOTA. She lives in Liverpool with her husband.

 

Katie Wilhelm

Katie Wilhelm is a New York State licensed Occupational Therapist a Master’s Degree from Utica College. She received her degree in 2014. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University in 2006 with a major in exercise science and a minor in coaching.  Katie joins Sprout Therapy Group having spent 2 years at the brain injury clinic at St. Camillus where she worked with individuals with a wide range of injury-related impairments.  Although her post-graduate work has primarily been with adults, Katie’s worked with children throughout her Level 1 and Level 2 Fieldwork. Her Level 2 work was done at the Liverpool CSD where she worked with children autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder and other developmental challenges. During her Level 1 assignment, she delivered therapies to children using horses at Ride On in Chatsworth, California. Katie has state and national membership in AOTA. When not at work, Katie participates in triathlons, having recently completed an Ironman Triathlon (1.5 mile swim/113 mile bike/26 mile run). She is also a triathlon coach and personal trainer.

 

Lindsay Priest

Lindsay Priest is a New York State licensed Occupational Therapist a Master’s Degree from Utica College.  She also earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Utica College with a major in Health Studies. Additionally, Lindsay has an Associate’s Degree in Inclusive Special Ed. from Onondaga Community College. Lindsey’s Level II fieldwork was in the Liverpool Central School District working with preschool and elementary school-aged children with a wide range of OT-related needs including autism, verbal apraxia, Downs’ syndrome and other developmental delays. She has taken part in the IEP process, developing goals and treatment strategies for the families with whom she worked. Additionally, as part of her graduate school clinical, she also worked with adults at the VA Medical Center in Albany. Lindsay has also served as a teaching assistant at Onondaga Community College since 2010.She will take part in Sprout’s Mentorship Program under the direction of Kathryn Wardell, Occupational Therapy Director. Lindsay has state and national membership in AOTA.

Lisa Arcuri

Lisa Arcuri is a New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor’s Degree from Keuka College. She has more than 12 years’ experience in early intervention, preschool and school age settings in diagnostic evaluation, therapy planning and implementation working with children with a wide range of diagnosis.  Currently, she works in a school setting in the North Syracuse School District. Prior to North Syracuse, Lisa worked for the Liverpool and Syracuse City School Districts in the preschool settings. Lisa also worked in the Early Intervention setting for Rehab Resources/Little Lukes. She lives in Westvale with her two children.

Mariah Black

Mariah Black is a New York State licensed Occupational Therapist a Master’s Degree from Utica College. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2016. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Studies, also from Utica College in 2013. Mariah joins Sprout Therapy Group having spent the last year as a staff occupational therapist at Upstate University Hospital where she worked with individuals, including pediatrics, with a wide range of diagnosis including trauma, surgery and orthopedics. Mariah’s Level 2 work was done at the Liverpool CSD where she worked with children autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder and other developmental challenges. Mariah also had field work in the Dominic Republic where she worked with infants and children with an array of diagnosis. While in graduate school, Mariah was president of the Student Occupational Therapy Organization at Utica College. She will take part in Sprout’s Mentorship Program under the direction of Kathryn Wardell, Occupational Therapy Director. Mariah has state and national membership in AOTA.
