Jeanine Mitchell,  M.S. CCC-SLP -  Therapy Director
Jeanine is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She has more than 20 years’ experience in early intervention, preschool and school age settings in diagnostic evaluation, therapy planning and implementation, and augmentative/alternative communication for the remediation of a wide range of feeding and swallowing, communication disorders and disabilities.  She has worked at extensively at BOCES (EI), and also at Kids-R-Special preschool, Baldwinsville School District, Syracuse City School District and at Syracuse University where she works as a supervisor of graduate students in SLP. She has ASHA certification as a CCC-SLP. Jeanine lives with her family in Baldwinsville.
 
 
Meghan Francis, M.S. CCC-SLP
Meghan joins the staff of Sprout Therapy Group with a diverse background in Speech and Language Patholoy. Meghan has worked with pre-schoolers and school age children in the North Syracuse School District for 14 years. Meghan also has extensive preschool and early intervention experience as an itinerant provider and evaluator for Onondaga County.  Her experience covers a wide-range of multiply handicapped children. Meghan’s undergraduate degree is from Russell Sage College where she received dual certification in elementary education and special education. Her M.S. in SLP is from Syracuse University. Megan is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
 
 
  Jenna Hojnowski - M.S. CCC-SLP -  Speech Language Pathology  Director

Jenna Hojonowski is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She received her degree in 2012 and has school-based experience with the Syracuse City School District. She has worked with children with a wide variety of diagnosis including autism, traumatic brain injury, ataxia, and apraxia of speech. Additionally, Jenna also has extensive clinical experience at Bright Beginnings Early Education Center in Watertown and at the Gebbie Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic in Syracuse.  She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and has extensive clinical training in a variety of settings.  She lives in Camillus.

 

 

 Lauren Esparza, M.S. CCC-SLP

Lauren Esparza is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from the University of West Georgia. Lauren has more than 7 years of experience working in pediatrics, primarily in preschool and early intervention settings. She is bi-lingual in Spanish and is BLS certified.  In addition to her master’s degree, Lauren also holds ATRIC certification which is the training necessary to deliver aquatic-based speech therapy. She also has extensive training in feeding therapy, having completed extensive training in the discipline.  Additionally, she is nearing completion of certification for teaching yoga to children. At her last position in Washington, Lauren taught yoga classes for children with special needs.  Lauren has many years of supervisory experience, overseeing other SLPs and clinical practicums for graduate students. She has worked with a wide variety of diagnosis including articulation, phonological and neurological delays, feeding, fluency, TBI and autism spectrum disorders. Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree from Toccoa Falls College in Georgia with a Music Performance major. She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and holds state licensure in New York, Washington, Texas and Georgia.

 
 

 

Dianne M. McArdell - M.S. CCC-SLP

Diane McArdell is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Nazareth College. She received her degree in 1992 and has more than 20 years’ experience in a wide range of settings including early intervention, preschool and school-based experience. In addition to Sprout, Dianne also works currently in the Marcellus Central School District where her caseload consists of children with speech language impaired, learning disabled, autistic and various other levels of cognitive disabilities. For 10 years, Dianne worked at Interactive Therapy Group/Liberty Post, providing therapy services to early intervention and preschool age children. She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and lives in Cicero with her family.

 

 

Laura Pallo -M.S. CCC-SLP

Laura Pallo joins Sprout Therapy Group having earned a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Ithaca College. While completing her degree, Laura worked in the Ithaca School district with children in grades K – 2 with a wide range of speech-related needs including apraxia, articulation and receptive/expressive language delays. Additionally, Laura worked at the Ewing Clinic at Ithaca College where she gained experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with children and adults. She also worked on vocal and articulation therapies while at the clinic. Her final clinical assignment was at Upstate University Hospital where she worked with feeding and swallowing issues, aphasia, dysphasia and apraxia patients.

 

 Jessica Murphy -M.S. CCC-SLP

Jessica Murphy joins Sprout Therapy Group earned a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Niagara College in Rochester. While completing her degree, Jessica worked Bright Start Pediatrics with children birth to five years old with a wide range of speech-related needs including autism, verbal apraxia, Downs’ syndrome and other developmental delays. Additionally, Jessica worked for the Churchville-Chili Central School District in a classroom setting with children with a variety of SLP challenges. As part of her graduate school clinical, she also worked with adults at the Nazareth College Brain Injury Clinic. She also served as a teaching assistant. While an undergraduate at SUNY – Cortland, Jessica was an officer in the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

 


Mary E. Lehan -M.S. CCC-SLP

Mary Lehan is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from SUNY - Geneseo. She has more than 10 years’ experience in preschool and school age settings in diagnostic evaluation, therapy planning and implementation working with children with a wide range of diagnosis.  Currently she works for OCM BOCES in a 2-3 year-old 12-1-4 classroom. Prior to BOCES, Mary worked directly for Oswego County Health Department as an independent contractor, providing SLP services in the home setting. At the same time, she also works for Oswego County BOCES, providing service in the home as well as in the classroom. Mary is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and has extensive continuing education training.  She lives in Liverpool.

 Sue Thomas - M.S. CCC-SLP

Sue Palleschi is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. She received her degree in 2007 and has extensive early intervention, preschool and school-based experience. She has 4 years of EI experience with Madison County DoH and 6 years of preschool work with Madison Oneida BOCES.  She has worked with children with a wide variety of diagnosis including autism, speech impaired, language impaired, traumatic brain injury, emotionally disturbed, ataxia, and apraxia of speech. Additionally, Sue also works in the Syracuse City School District. She did her externship work at the Gebbe Clinic and at the BOCES Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Solvay.  She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)  and lives in Chittenango.
 

 

Samantha Adonisio -M.S. ST-CFY

Samantha joins Sprout Therapy Group having recently earned a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Syracuse University.  While completing her degree, Samantha worked with us at Sprout Therapy Group with children from birth to five years of age with a wide variety of speech-related needs including; apraxia, articulation and receptive/expressive language delays.  Additionally,  as part of her graduate program, Samantha worked at Cortland Regional Medical Hospital where she gained experience working with children and adults with a range of disorders, including feeding/swallowing, aphasia, autism, fluency, phonological and voice difficulties as well as with during Augmenatative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.  Samantha holds a bachelors' degree from SUNY New Paltz with a major in Elementary Education.  She is completing her final steps towards gaining her initial NYS Teaching Certificate.

Alexis DeGennaro - M.S. CCC-SLP

Alexis joins Sprout Therapy Group having recently earned a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  While completing her degree, Alexis managed a full caseload at Baker Victory Preschool where she worked with children with phonological disorders, language disorders, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic deficits and autism spectrum disorders.  Additionally, she completed weekly evaluations with preschools, as well as, weekly evaluations for early intervention services.  Alexis is joining the team at Sprout Therapy about midway through clinical fellow year.  The first half of her fellowship was complete at Syracuse VA Medical Center.  At the VA she complete clinical swallow evaluations at bedside and modified barium swallow studies, provided dyphagia therapy for rehabilitating swallowing function and made recommendations for appropiate diet consistencies specific to patient's needs and evaluated and treated patients with a variety of cognitivie linguistic disorders and motor speech disorders.

Sarah Ficcaro - M.S. CCC-SLP

Sarah Ficarro is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia, graduating in 2015. Sarah Ficarro is a New York State Certified Speech – Language Pathologist with a Master’s Degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia, graduating in 2015. While in graduate school, Sarah had extensive pediatric experience. It was this experience that moved her to return to working with children, instead of adults. In addition to work in the Vestal School District, Sarah also worked with children ages 2 to 5 at Child Pro OLV in Lackawana, N.Y. and at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira where she work with individuals with swallowing disorders. Sarah received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Fredonia with a major in communication disorders and a minor in psychology. While in college, Sarah was a 7-time NCAA Academic All American. She is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and in a member of the CNY Speech and Language Hearing Association.

Chelsea Coulter - M.S. CCC-SLP

Chelsea Coulter joins Sprout Therapy Group having recently earned a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. While completing her degree, Chelsea worked in the Lockport School district with children in grades K – 2 with a wide range of speech-related needs including apraxia, articulation and receptive/expressive language delays with children on the autism spectrum as well as other diagnosis.  Additionally, Chelsea’s completed a clinical assignment at the Cantalician Center of Learning in Depew, NY. While there, she worked with children ages 2 to 20 with a focus on utilizing augmentative and alternative communication devices. In her first clinical assignment Chelsea worked at the Buffalo State College Speech Language and Hearing Clinic where she gained experience doing speech and language evaluations, as well as treating individuals with speech disorders, expressive and receptive language and childhood apraxia of speech. She also worked at the Bornhava Early Intervention Preschool in Buffalo as a respite program aide.
